In-Studio Newborn Sessions
Usually take place within the first 5 days after your baby is born. Many photographers advertise "Fresh-48" Sessions which take place within 48 hours after the baby is born. I guess I am a little old fashioned. While baby is sleepiest during the first 2 days of life, making it easier on us to pose your sweet little bundle, I like to give parents a moment longer to catch their breath and start to acclimate to this new way of life! I am happy to do pics any time after the first full day at home with mom and dad, and firmly believe that the first 5 days give us enough time to capture those sweet sleepy moments you will cherish for years to come!
Creative Backdrops and Brainstorming Sessions
I have a variety of backdrops, wraps, headbands and jewelry for your little one to use in her first photo shoot! AND I even have some items specifically for little boys! A few weeks prior to your due date, I like to chat with Mom and/or Dad to develop a vision for your newborn's photo session. Some things that help us narrow that down are Mom and Dad's personal tastes in newborn photography, what your family's individual interests, talents, hobbies and occupations are, and how you plan to use your finished photos. Do you have a spot in the nursery you'd like a nice canvas? Do you plan to mail out Birth Announcements with some of the photos? Do you have interest in prints or a coffee table book with images from your session? All are factors in creating portraits you will love and that are personally designed for you and your baby. We will work together ahead of time so that the day of your session, we just get to enjoy the baby!
Safety Matters
You can rest assured that as an (almost!) Grandma myself, there is nothing I want more than to keep your baby safe from harm while in my studio. Babies little spines and joints are delicate and vulnerable, and it is important not to place undo stretch or strain on them during a photo session. You will find that my newborn posing is more traditional than trendy, keeping the safety and comfort of your baby in the forefront of my mind. I also have additional heat sources for use in the studio as needed to keep baby cozy and warm. That combined with a rocking chair for comforting or feeding your little one, and a changing table for use as needed, provides an environment ready for babies to feel safe and comforted.

A relaxed 2-hour time slot in my studio where we have prepared an environment for baby to rest and cuddle and smile for the camera. We usually plan for 3 changes of clothing and multiple poses of baby, with a couple
BONUS shots with Mommy.
Newborn Lifestyle Session ONLY
$150
A 30 to 60 minute session in your home capturing sweet interaction between family members and the new baby. Posing is light and minimal, one outfit is recommended, perhaps two for baby, and I will help with wardrobe and lighting ideas. Precious Memories.
COMPLETE NEWBORN PACKAGE
$300
The best of both! The Complete Newborn Package combines both the Studio Session and the Lifestyle Session with a savings of $50.
